Aggressive Arnold All Ready To Go On Titanium

Hackney teenager Frank Arnold is looking to pay the bills with his fists.

Arnold is currently studying a business course at Hackney Community College – but the 18 year old super-bantamweight says he wants boxing to be his job.

“I want to win belts, earn money and make a living from boxing,” he said ahead of his second professional fight on promoter Mickey Helliet’s show at the York Hall in Bethnal Green on Saturday, February 10.

“That’s my goal and I’m working hard in the gym to get there.”

Arnold is trained and managed by East End fight guru Johnny Eames and says that under Eames, he is making big improvements.

“I didn’t do that much as an amateur,” he admitted, “because I didn’t train that hard.

“I was never fit enough.

“I had around 15 fights and only won half of them because I wasn’t fit.

“I used to beat them up in the first round, get tired and then they would come back.

“I’m a different fighter now.

“I get good sparring and I’m much, much fitter.”

Arnold made a good start to his professional career at thee York Hall last month.

He knocked out Kieran Holman in four rounds.

“I have an aggressive style,” said Arnold, “and I like to control the pace.”

The show at the York Hall is topped by an eliminator for the Commonwealth super-lightweight championship between Philip ‘Quicksilver’ Bowes and Vusumzi Tyatyeka and tickets are available from 07465 768345.
