Sam Jones Gets New Date: Wants Tough Challenge

by Adam Thorn

Popular Bournemouth fighter Sam Jones has been given a date for his sixth professional outing. He swill step out at Bournemouth's O2 Academy on September 16th, having recently fought there in July, getting a revenge victory over tough Chris Adaway.

Jones, and trainer Ty Browne, are no strangers to Hellraiser, having fought on one of our shows in May. They then featured in an interview on this website (footage of fight and interview below) and the Hellraiser team are big fans. Jones is looking for, "hopefully title fights next year."

The pair will also be featured in the Bournemouth Echo tomorrow, 16th August, with trainer Browne saying they want a challenge for the next fight, "an Adaway type, an opponent who won't lay down." It's a sign of the ambition and confidence the Jones team have in themselves, and Kaz Evans, founder of Assassin Boxing said.

"I am looking forward to an exciting few months for Sam Jones. He is ready to step up in class and picking up a win on September 16th will put him in a position to make the move up to six and eight rounders."

For trainer Browne the fight is another chance to showcase the effort the hardworking, proud vegan Jones has put in at the gym, "it is a great opportunity to show our supporters the fruits of all Sam's hardwork in the gym, and it also gives us the chance to impress the audience and grow Sam's fanbase."

Everyone at Hellraiser wishes Sam all the very best, and we hope to see you at York Hall in the near future.
